Lead by two facilitators joining us from San Francisco based Groundspark.org and the South's own SOJOURN, we will hear compelling stories of teens who self-identify as straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning and represent all points of the gender spectrum in the documentary film Straight-laced - How Gender's Got Us All Tied Up
We will combine our knowledge of risk and resilience factors to what we learn about supporting this population and have the opportunity to ask questions, share best practices and improve our services to create inclusive campus life.
This cultural and practical training will provide new information on how to support LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) young people.
This program is free and refreshments will be served.
This program will be in the Foundation Board Room in the Student Life Center at Middle Georgia State Univeristy. Location information: http://www.mga.edu/about/docs/macon-map.pdf
