Joy Ladin's Southern Tour

As the first openly transgender employee of an Orthodox Jewish institution, Joy will engage politically and culturally
conservative groups in respectful conversations about gender and how gender is connected to religion, tradition, and
community. Joy also speaks to those who have little to no relationship with people who are transgender. She is an accessible inspiration for those who are gender diverse and those who are allies.

Author of eight books, including Through the Door of Life: A Jewish Journey Between Genders, Joy has given a TedTalk and has been on the NPR program, On Being. Additional accomplishments HERE

Joy's Tour is presented by SOJOURN and Jewish Family & Career Services-Atlanta through the Owen Halpern Heritage Fund
